Vaulta is a privacy-focused personal finance application. This Privacy Policy explains how Vaulta handles information when you use the app. Vaulta is designed to operate primarily on your device. The app does not require a user account, does not use cloud sync, and does not transmit your financial records to our servers.

2. Data Storage

Vaulta stores your app data locally on your device. This may include:

Accounts you create inside the app
Income and expense transactions
Budgets and categories
Business records and savings goals
App settings
Pending transactions detected from notifications
Backup files created by you

Vaulta does not upload your financial data to our servers.
Vaulta does not require an online account.
Vaulta does not provide cloud sync.
Vaulta does not sell your personal data.
Vaulta does not use your financial data for advertising.

3. Notification Access

Vaulta may request Android Notification Access to support automatic transaction detection. This feature is optional.

When enabled, Vaulta can read notifications from apps you permit — such as banking or SMS apps — to detect possible financial transactions. For example, Vaulta may identify a debit or credit alert and create a pending transaction inside the app.

Notification content is processed locally on your device.
Vaulta does not send notification content to our servers.
Vaulta does not share notification content with third parties.

You can disable this feature at any time from Vaulta settings or your Android system settings. Before enabling this feature, Vaulta displays a disclosure explaining what notification data is accessed and why.

4. SMS and Financial Message Processing

Vaulta may process financial notification text or SMS-style transaction alerts to assist in creating transaction entries. This processing is used solely for app functionality.

Vaulta may attempt to detect:

Transaction amount and type
Merchant or sender name
Possible category
Source application

Detected transactions may be saved as pending entries for you to review, edit, approve, or reject. Vaulta does not use this data for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

5. Camera and Photo Access

Vaulta may request access to your camera or photo library if you use features such as receipt scanning or image attachment. Camera and photo access is optional.

Images you select or capture are used only to provide the feature you requested. Vaulta does not upload your images to our servers. You can disable camera or photo access at any time from your device settings.

6. Biometric and PIN Security

Vaulta may allow you to protect the app using a PIN or biometric unlock. Your PIN is stored securely on your device. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by your device operating system.

Vaulta does not receive or store your fingerprint, face data, or biometric template.

7. Backups and Exported Files

Vaulta may allow you to export or back up your app data. Backup files are created only when you choose to create them or enable a backup-related feature. These files may contain your financial records.

You are responsible for where you save or share exported backup files. Vaulta does not automatically upload backup files to our servers.

8. Local Notifications

Vaulta may use local notifications for reminders, budget alerts, or app-related notices. These notifications are generated on your device and are not used for advertising purposes.

10. Analytics and Advertising

Vaulta does not use advertising SDKs.
Vaulta does not use third-party analytics SDKs to track your personal financial data.
Vaulta does not use your financial data to build advertising profiles.

11. Data Deletion

You can delete data directly inside the app where supported. You can also remove all Vaulta data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data from Android settings.

If you created backup files stored outside the app, those files will not be removed when you uninstall. You should delete those files manually if you no longer need them.

Because Vaulta does not store your financial records on our servers, we cannot remotely delete local data from your device.

12. Data Security

Vaulta stores app data within the app storage area on your device. Vaulta may use device security features such as secure storage, PIN protection, and biometric unlock where supported.

No method of storage is entirely risk-free. You should protect your device with a strong screen lock and keep your operating system up to date.

13. Children's Privacy

Vaulta is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the last updated date at the top of this page. You should review this policy periodically to stay informed of any changes.
